I was a Mego kid and an Aquaman fan so this was an awesome trip down memory lane. Didn't have this set but I recall using the shark from a game (the one that was a giant shark head with the mouth suddenly clamping down) to sort of imitate the scenario.

Very cool to see a playlist dedicated to Aquaman, especially the orange and green classic look. Ever since the 1st seeing him in the Filmation series, Aquaman was my favorite childhood hero (swapping that role on and off with Superboy thanks also to Filmation). Had every comic, record, coloring book, figures, you name it that I could get my hands on back then and even up to my teens in the early 80s. But there was always so limited of a selection put out that I had to improvise with Adventure People water/sea themed characters to go with my Pocket Heroes Aquaman. Not a fan of whatbecame of the character after the 80s/nowadays, but still nice that the name is a household one still/again.

I have one with a base stand. By mattel.

Please tell me there were BarbiePools! Not GwenPools, but BARBIEPOOL.

Played with these awesome sets constantly while growing up in the 70's and was fortunate enough to buy them again on ebay during the early 2000's before the ridiculous price gouging began

This was a outstanding line . Groundbreaking achievement in the art form. Monumentally pissed off when Toddy got the line no matter how good the mcfartlane stuff is. Mattel seemed to have only gotten its legs. Wish matrel had done a ' super powers ' line. And a golden age superman line. Just grand, classy stuff mattel did at the end of the run.❤

i just found your video and your channel. Love this. I had and still have lots of these playsets. I had the Sesame Street town house but i think my cousin stole it. My favourite was the Sesame St club house. I don't collect toys and i never had any children so i may sell my playsets since i prefer to collect dolls and i need space for the dolls. But i will never sell my sesame st club house.

A year late!

What a great video. My mom dug out a bunch of Fisher Price toys from that era for my niece to play with. I wish they still made toys like this these days. Doesn't seem like the toys now have as much effort put into them. My niece will play with these for hours. She loves them. We have the village, the fire truck with the bell, the airport, the ferris wheel, the mini bus, the radio, the school house, the camper and boat, and the farm. Question: On the airport there is a place to put the helicopter and then you can make the propeller spin. I see something like that on the village above the police station. If you spin the yellow thing, it opens and closes the jail. However, there is a rectangle opening in the middle. Is there something that you stick inside of that? I'm learning about these toys. I was born in 1993 and didn't have these specific toys.

The suction cups on the new figures really detracts from the appeal. A gimmick that has not been implemented properly. Even on a flat surface stuck well, the ball jointed rubber suction cups allow they very heavy figure to drift lean and fall. I pulled the damn suction cups off and have a great action figure left over.
